Flounders’ Pub continued their current win streak Thursday night after defeating Downingtown Middle School by a score of 16-13. Even though the Pub struggled at times throughout the game, they were able to pull it together to close the game with a "W". The girls of Flounders’ Pub (Annie Flounders and Mary Flounders were both 1-for-1 with an RBI and Kelly Ewald was 2-for-2) really came through for the team, getting timely hits and held their positions on the field. Four inside-the-park homers were hit by Matt "No-Brakes" Bilker, Kevin Cohen (GWRBI), Danny Bluth (one hit away from batting the cycle) and Brendan Flounders (5 RBIs). Other batting highlights included Mike Welsh, who continued his hot streak by going 3-for-3 with 3 runs scored, Brian Flounders going 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs and Geoie Krull who batted 2-for-3. Brendan Flounders got the win on the mound, increasing his pitching record to 3-0 on the season. The team has a week off but has set their sights on their next game against R.J. Waters & Associates.
