| How The West Was Won |  | | | Leave it up to the Western Division to go into the second week of July without any team mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. In what is here-to-forth known as the Wild Wild West, three playoff berths have been locked in with five teams vying for the final spot. Timothy’s of West Chester and Sunbelt Rentals are fighting it out for the top seed with the final shootout set for Friday, July 12th at sundown. Hurricane Ditka has garnered the 3rd seed with an impressive performance in their first season in the league.
The final playoff spot is up for grabs and no one seems to want to take it. Comcast Spotlight, Guinta Fabrications and It’s Accrual World are tied with 7 losses each to lead the pack. Comcast & It’s Accrual World battle in a Sunday/Monday doubleheader to start next week which should clear some things up. Knowing the West, they’ll split. Morphotek is barely holding on to their playoff hopes and looks to test their sea-legs next week with a four game slate. And Guinta & Cenero finishes the week off with a doubleheader of their own which has the potential to complete the regular season with a bang.
Any rainouts next week in the Western Division will be rescheduled quickly so please keep your week open. We can move to three games per field on Friday if necessary and we garnered one spot on Wednesday (6:15pm, Upper) from the Church league if needed. It should be a wild finish! |
